Children from Kids Zone Nursery Group raise over £4000 for Willow Wood by taking part in their annual Bunny Hop
The nursery group which has 7 nursery settings throughout Tameside supported the Ashton-based hospice’s call to join in its Easter Willow Wood Bunny Hop event this year.
All of the children had so much fun participating in the sponsored hop, they were encouraged to hop, skip or jump around their playground.
In return the hospice provided each child with a set of bunny ears, a certificate of thanks, and a Cadbury’s Creme Egg to show how much their support was appreciated.
The parents and carers supported the hospice by asking family and friends to sponsor their child and to enter a raffle for an Easter Hamper, all of which raised a fabulous total of £4197.39 – thank you to our families and children for their support, they were all amazing!
Woody the Willow Wood Mascot Bear visited Hyde Woodland Day Nursery to thank the children personally, whilst he was visiting he met Woody the Owl.
Willow Wood event organiser Laura Marinelli was also at the nursery to say thank you and receive the cheque.
She said: “We cannot thank The Kids Zone Nursery Group enough for taking part in Willow Woods Bunny Hop, through their dedicated hopping efforts, they successfully raised an astounding £4197.39 for the hospice. This significant contribution will play a vital role in providing essential care to people within our local community, and we extend our sincerest appreciation to The Kids Zone Nursery Group for their unwavering support”.
Kids Zone Nursery Group hope to make this one of their annual charity events next year as all the children had so much fun taking part.
